FAQs

How can I get to Simply Ear Wax Removal?

We are based at The Melksham Family Chiropractic Centre, 5 Spa Road. We use the Annex which is situated to the Left of the main building. The centre is at the town end of Spa Road, near the Market Place. The regular buses stop at the Market Place so we are a very small walk away.

Where can I park my car?

Parking is available on site, free of charge. Please use the parking area in front of the main building of the Chiropractor Centre.

Do you provide masks and hand sanitiser?

You are welcome to arrive wearing your own mask, however we do provide masks on request. We also have hand sanitiser readily available.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, please book online by clicking here. Alternatively, email us at simplyearwaxremoval@gmail.com or use the contact us section on website to send us a message of when you would like to book an appointment. Ruth will contact you as soon as she can. Call if needed, but please be advised that Ruth may not be able to answer a call immediately as she may be in a consult with a patient.

I want to reschedule my appointment, is this possible?

Yes, if you need to reschedule your appointment then just call or email us.

When should I arrive at my appointment?

You should arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment. When you arrive, please knock on the Annex door. Ruth will call you in when she is ready, as she may still be with a patient.

I want to cancel my appointment, is this possible? And a refund/cancellation fee?

Yes, you can cancel your appointment by calling or emailing us. There is no cancellation fee but please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel in less than 24 hours, a refund will not given.

What is your availability like?

Our availability varies, so you can check this by looking at our online booking system or calling us.

Should I do anything to my ears before I come for my appointment?

Olive oil should be used in your ears 3-5 days before you come for your appointment. This ensures that hard impacted wax is softer and it is much easier to remove. It is not a problem if you have not used oil. If you have been prescribed any medication or treatment by your GP, you should continue to use this as instructed.

What if I need to be seen again?

If we’re not able to remove all of the earwax in the first session, we will include a free follow-up session.

I have had ear problems in the past, will microsuction hurt?

Generally, microsuction is a very comfortable method of ear wax removal. However, if the ear is sore, inflamed or the ear wax is impacted there can be some discomfort. Your clinician will monitor this throughout the process.

How much will the treatment cost?

£85. This is our fixed price whether we treat one ear or two. If we can’t remove all of the earwax in the first session then we will include a free follow-up appointment.

When do I pay for the treatment?

We ask for payment after the first session but if you require a follow-up appointment this will be free-of-charge.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, or cash.

Do you have step-free access?

Yes, we have a level entry in the front of the Annex building, depending on the size of the wheelchair. Our door frame can accommodate the average width of a wheelchair.

Do you treat children?

Yes, we are fully insured to treat children over 12 but they must be able to sit still and follow instructions.

Is this clinic insured?

Yes, all our clinicians are fully qualified and we hold public liability insurance.

Can my partner/friend come with me?

Yes, you are welcome to come with someone else.
